On this page you will find information concerning setting up shows here at Brownstone. First and foremost we are a coffeehouse. We take pride in the work and product that we provide. We would love to make this the coffee destination in Southwest Michigan. And to help with this we are opening our doors for musicians from all over the state and beyond. Listed here are just a few guidelines that will aid you in your decision to choose us as a venue.

1. While we prefer accoustic sets, we can rearrange things in the front to provide space for amps and P.A. speakers.

2. We want clean music. Death metal is not welcome. Brownstone wants to provide nice entertainment for the enjoyment of all our guests. So keep it clean, please.

3. Your band is responsible for bringing in guests. Make flyers and bring them in for us to see. We maintain the right to refuse a flyer if we feel it offensive. Again, keep it clean.

4. For the time being payment to the bands is not an option for us. Brownstone's intent is not to make a fortune by having bands play. We just want to provide a nice alternative atmosphere to the typical bar scene. And we want to be a part of a growing culture here in Battle Creek.

5. Respect. We are big on respect here at Brownstone. Our staff trys to provide a comfortable atmosphere for all to enjoy. Respect us and we will show you the same. We do retain the right to stop any show that we feel may be violating this core ideal.

6. Fun. We just want to have fun with this venture.
